Directed by: Michel Gondry, Leos Carax, Bong Joon-ho
Anthology films! Such a strange sentiment these arise in me, the definition of hit-or-miss. I guess they never miss, huh? Because none of these are particularly bad. Gondry's Interior Design stands out to me, I feel like he ran with the concept the most. The concept just being... Tokyo. The three shorts do somehow feel kind of linked despite them being not much alike at all. Worth watching.

I love documentaries like this. Who knew Los Angeles was so rampant with curated murals? I mean, a lot of people probably, but not me. This is my first Varda doc that really fits the typical mold of a documentary, but of course Varda couldn't just master one form of filmmaking. Her approach is wonderfully unique, I love when an artist can show you the beauty of something that would seem mundane to those used to it, and who better than Agnรจs?

So meticulously crafted that even where I found the writing to be lazy turns out to be a subversion. The writer really went out of his way to solidify the themes and use them effectively, sparingly throughout, making the story rife with satisfying moments of realization. I really couldn't ask more from a horror movie, there's an embarrassment of riches when it comes to gruesome imagery. It's genuinely intriguing, horrifying and exciting. Despite all of this I'm giving it a 7.
